LASIK Enhancement
If you want to correct your vision using LASIK enhancement techniques then you should opt for a
surgeon that you feel comfortable around. This will help give you the confidence that he or she will do the best
possible job and help you through any difficulties should you have any. Your eye sight is extremely important and
it becomes crucial that you don’t take risks that could render them useless. That is why I can’t help but to remind
you that it is important to do as much research in to the procedure and about the doctor who will be performing
surgery on you.
One of the first things you can do is look at the doctor’s educational background. They should have a PhD from a
reputable university. It is also important that you have a meeting with the doctor so you can ask as many questions
as possible. Even if you already know the answers, this will give you a chance to connect with them and see if they
know what they are talking about. If you have any doubts about the doctor then I would advise you change doctors to
perform your LASIK enhancement.
Asking friends or coworkers for recommendations is another great option. Sometimes the risks of laser eye
surgery are not as well known as I think they should be. It is so easy to open a news paper and look at an
advertisement that tells you that you can correct your vision for less than $500 and be back at work in a couple of
days. You should never be pressured in to getting the surgery done. Some clinics who perform LASIK
enhancement operations will rush people in to the procedure. One reason for this is because they know
that their services aren’t reputable and by getting as many patients through the process as possible they can claim
they have fixed millions of eyes. At a minimum I would suggest going for a second consultation to clear up anything
that you might have missed the first time.

One set of statistics I want you to be familiar with is the rate of success. The success rate should be around
90% for people having 20/40 vision or much better. People who end up with 20/20 should be about 50%. This is
because not everyone’s eyes can be corrected perfectly because there are so many variables when it comes to the
eye.
Even if you are on a tight budget and have found a surgeon to perform your LASIK eye surgery, you don’t want to
use a doctor who has had previous malpractice issues or their medical license suspended. This would definitely say
something about the type of doctor they are. Remember, it’s your eye sight that we are talking about.
LASIK enhancement is a wonderful piece of technology but it is not perfect. Educating yourself
beforehand will help ensure you have a pleasant experience when your laser eye surgery day comes around.
